A Happier Time

The Rock CafeThis is a picture of the whole family last year the day Guy was with us filming for Diners, Drive Ins and Dives! Usually, all of the family is not at the Rock at the same time and if we are we are working like crazy.  This is one of the times when the production crew suggested we all go outside and take a picture with them. I am so thankful we did because we were all looking good and happy because of the show. Little did we know, that in less than a year we would be experiencing the worst event to happen on the Rock Cafe property since it had been open.

Great blog, well written, about something very interesting. I’ve written a post with link to your blog and I hope that helps you reach more readers. Best of luck with the cafe. Keep writing about the progress–it’s great to know what’s going on. Let me know if I can be of any help to you. Mostly with the blog though, I don’t think I could pick up one of those pickle buckets.

Hey I cannot wait until you reopen. Our church has a motorcycle ministry and our pastor has never seen the Rock. I hope everything is going well and by the way I have some good pictures of the inside of the Rock and I do not mind sharing them. Give me a holler!! Kathy Day

OH – Say it ain’t true! … I stopped by the Rock 10 years ago on my ride out west to attend my brother’s wedding, stopping for lunch and enjoying the visit (http://muthuh.com/okcity99/tot-06.htm) and now that I am planning another trip out west, specifically wanted to bring my riding buddies to the historic Rock… found this morning where it had burned and was sick. Our trip is in June this summer – what are the chances you’ll be opened up? I’d love to stop in and keep the history going. – Muthuh

Just discovered your cafe on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives! the other night. What a shock to encounter your difficulties. It looks like things are progressing toward brighter days in “paradise”. May your endeavors bear fruit – and other good sizzlin’ food. I’ll drop through Stroud my next time through – Bernie in Bartlesville, OK

I hear you are open. Is that true? Congratulations! It’s so hard to come back from a disaster like that. What got you through it?
